These high and low pressure test plugs are well built; made from a
specially formulated, natural ozone protected rubber impregnated with
several layers of nylon cord. The number of layers is determined by
pressure resistance required in the field. The bladder portion of the
plug is bonded to its metal inner mandrel. The end of the bladder, when
inflated, rolls up to the interior of the pipe walls, giving the plug
more sealing surface and less stress on the bladder by not having to
stretch as far, thus adding to the strength of the plug. These high
pressure test plugs have been field tested to withstand pressures of up
to 100 psi.
The high pressure roll-up test plug is used in most pressure situations
where the gravity flow/low head is exceeded (i.e. force mains, water
mains, industrial lines, lift station, etc.), as a block plug, isolation
testing plug, a by-pass plug, air test or water test plug.
Each test plug comes standard with a 2" and 3/4" test port and 1/4" inflation
port. |
