Thern 5PT10 crane has a nuber of features not offered in smaller models. The boom telescopes to 4 different lengths (36", 46", 56" and 66") and adjusts in height while under load with a ratchet style screw jack.
The crane rotates 360° on a pin and sleeve bearing in the base, and a handle on the boom makes rotation easy. The 5PT10 breaks down for storage or transport by one person, the heaviest peice weighing 36 lbs. Available in many finishes: powder coated, galvanized, 304 stainless steel, 316 stainless steel and epoxy coated. We list the most popular configurations, call us if you don't see what you need.
The 5PT10 is also available with a choice of winches. A zinc plated, hand-operated spur gear winch with disc brake is standard. Select one with a worm gear whinch for use with cable lengths over 60' and/or if you wish to operate the winch with a portable 120 VAC right drill-motor with a 1-1/8" socket drive. A number of ``5/1/60 electric winches are also available from Thern.
Winches feature a quick disconnect cable anchor for quickly attaching or removing wire rope equipped with a waged ball fitting. This feature allows cables to be left attached to submerged equipment as the crane is moved to another site. An optional wire rope keeper attaches to the base or other structure to hold the end of the wire rope when detached from the crane.
