250R Receiver
The Subsite® 250R receiver is configured with one active frequency (33 kHz) and two passive frequencies 50/60 Hz making it versatile enough to locate pipe and cable or trace non metallic pipe or conduit. The 250R weighs in at 5 lbs. and runs on 6 C batteries for 40 hours. A battery saver feature shuts off the unit after 5 minutes of inactivity.
250T Transmitter
The 250T transmitter places signals on target lines and is used with 250R units. It is configured to send 33kHz frequency signals. It places a signal on the line through either direct connection, induction clamping, or sonde modes.
Two power modes allow you to use the correct power for the application, choose low power for short runs where signal bleed off might be a issue, choose high power for longer runs where adjacent utilities don’t exist.
Beacon Sondes
Beacon (sonde) signal can be used for metallic and non-metallic pipe where a signal is difficult to induce onto your target line i.e. plastic, concrete, or clay pipe.
The Subsite© 250 Locator with Beacon is an easy way to trace out pipe. The transmitting sonde (Beacon) is attached to a sewer push rod and sent down the pipe.
The Beacon's transmitted signal is picked up by the Receiver for precise location.
Your choice of Beacon will depend on your pipe material, diameter, soil type, and depth.
NOTE: FlexRod Adapter Kit* may be needed to adapt to your size push rod. Includes 3/16,1/4, 1/8 push rod adapters, flexible adapter, pull back adapter and epoxy.
