Chlorine is one of the most
frequently controlled parameters for economic as well as safety reasons.
It is used throughout the world for sanitizing swimming pools,
industrial equipment and cooling towers. Its level is closely monitored
in drinking and municipal wastewater. Hanna offers a colorimetric test
kit using the DPD method to measure both Free and Total Chlorine. The
easy-to-read digits on the tilted LCD take guess work out of chlorine
measurements. Simple, quick, inexpensive
and effective with 0.01 mg/L increments, many times better than the
most sophisticated test kits or color discs.
Although Hanna's chlorine colorimeters do
use the EPA's approved DPD reagent system they are not recommended for
compliance reporting. The EPA requires the meter's light source to emit
490 - 530 nm while these units read at 555 nm. At this price, these
units easily replace other visual test kits for monitoring chlorine
residual & pH. |
Each meter includes 2 cuvets, caps, 9V alkaline
battery and instruction manual.
Reagents for these meters must be ordered
separately.
