The patented Hose Monster^® 2.5 diverts and diffuses discharge water which allows you to direct water flow directly into the street gutter - reducing the damage that can be caused by flushing directly from the hydrant.

Flow testing is easy with the built-in rotatable pitot that can be pointed downstream when debris is expected. If flow rate measurements are not required, it can be easily removed with the Pitot Change-out Kit (simple hand tools).

Stay dry by using the Remote Reader to take pitot readings while standing at the hydrant - not in the flowing water. The Hose Monster comes standard with a 2.50" orifice which accurately measures 533 GPM at 10 PSI pitot; 1460 GPM at a 75 PSI pitot. A laminated flow chart in single PSI increments is included with each Hose Monster. If your water supply is weak and you have a need to measure lower flow rates, the UL Nozzle Inserts are available in two sizes.

The built-in pitot system accurately measures flow rates. The pitot is precisely positioned in the center of the stream, 1/2 the diameter from the exact orifice (2 1/2" +/- .005"). The coefficient is laboratory proven for consistent flow rate measurements. If low flow rates are anticipated, UL Nozzle Inserts can be used to measure flow from 188 to 771 GPM.

Now with the addition of a Dechlor Demon™ you can dechlorinate while you flush or flow test. Vita-D-Chlor (Ascorbic Acid) Tablets eliminate the chlorine/chloramines in Potable Water allowing you to flush in the most sensitive environments.
