Panel-mounted, ready to use analyzers are designed to measure free or total chlorine in water samples from 0.05 to 20 mg/L. Plug and play design incorporates a flow control device, a chlorine sensor, a C22 controller and an optional pH sensor. Analyzer features a NEMA 4x enclosure, a 4-20 mA output and two SPDT relays. Calibration is accompished through DPD comparison.
FCA-22 Free Chlorine System
Free chlorine exists in solution as a pH dependent ratio fo hypochlorous acid (aprrox 100% at a pH of 5) and hypochlorite ion (approx. 100% at a pH of 10). The free chlorine sensor measures only the hypochlorous acid component and the analyzer calculates the balance using measured pH (optional) or a user defined fixed pH. Use of the optional pH sensor provides accurate compensation between a pH of 6 to 9.5.

TCA-22 Total Chlorine System
Total chlorine is the combined amount of free chlorine, chloramine, organic and bound chlorine in a sample. The TCA snesor is a three electrod amperometric sensor that allows ions to diffuse in and out of the porous membrane and react with the acidic KI electrolyte to form iodine. Iodine is reduced at the cathode back to iodide and the current produced is proportional to total chlorine.
The use of a pH sensor provides accurate compensation for samples between a pH of 4 to 12. Select between models with automatic or manual compensation.
