Chlorine Dioxide is used principally
as a disinfectant in potable water and also in various industrial
processes. In potable water applications, it is gaining popularity over
chlorine considering that it does not generate trihalomethanes when
reacting with organic compounds. In industrial applications it is used
as a bleaching agent in such processes as pulp and paper. |
