JAR TESTER OVERVIEW
The 3G Platypus Jar Tester features enhanced micro-controllers that
drive four separate stations. Each station may be driven
with independent, sequential speed and time settings for mixing the
chemical and flocculating precipitants/suspended matter stage.
Each individual station allows for Manual, Program and Automatic control
mode selection. Speed and time settings are unaffected by variable
test water viscosity and temperature conditions. Each station's
microprocessor maintains paddle speed via real time Hall Effect sensor
feedback.
Each station features a large, easy to
read backlit display and an intuitive keypad for programming.
Through a few simple keystrokes, the user can program chemical mixing
speed and duration, control modes and pause/continue testing selection.
The paddles operate at a range of speeds from 20 to 200 rpm in 10 rpm
increments. The blades on each paddle are uniquely tilted to
induce a component of axial flow, thus ensuring homogeneous suspension
of fast settling flocs. The square jars may be purchased in either
1 or 2 liter volumes. |
