For occasional use or labs on a budget, the Basic series offers solid performance at a low cost of ownership. Monocular models feature 3 objective powers (4x, 10x and 40x) with a fixed stage and incandescent illumination. Binocular models offer 4 objective powers (4x 10x 40x and 100x), a mechanical stage with drop down X-Y control and halogen illumination. Both models are backed with a 5-year mechanical/optical warranty and 1-year electrical warranty.
