Pollard's Economy Drill is the simplest and safest tool for Tapping all
classes of IPS P.V.C. pipe. Since there is no Lead Screw, you cannot
force the Cutter into the pipe causing it to split like other Drills
that are designed to Tap Steel and Iron Pipe. The Operator exerts a
small amount of downward force, and literally 'feels' his way through
the Pipe Wall while making Dry or Pressurized Taps. These Shell Cutters
are also designed to capture the Pipe Wall Shavings and Coupon to
eliminate debris in the Water System. Ordering is simple too! Determine
the Nominal Tap Size, 3/4, 1, or 2 inch and order the corresponding
Drill by size. Each Drill comes complete with a Cutter and Shaft, a
Speed Handle for turning the Cutter, and a Flare Adapter for connecting
the Drill to a Curb Stop. If your Curb Stop uses a Compression Packing
Nut, please specify its type, Iron Pipe Size or Copper Tube Size when
ordering Adapters. Note that the 2 inch Drill is designed to connect to
a NPT Gate Valve using a short Nipple (not included). |
