The 480B is a
technologically updated version of Metrotech's original split box
locator. The 480B features a crystal controlled transmitter and receiver
that provides operating stability. The narrow noise bandwidth of the
transmitter gives a clean, no drift response providing the operator with
longer ranges and improved accuracy. The 50/60 Hz Power Line Locating
capability is used for detecting the presence of underground energized
power lines. An automatic shut-off prevents receiver from being left on
with a 30 Minute cycle/time-out alert. The transmitter shuts off when
both cases are clipped together.
Standard Equipment
consists of a transmitter, receiver, conductive attachment, and
Operating Manual. One year warranty on all labor and material.
