The easy to use Metrotech 480 Pipe and Cable Locator is a cost-effective general use instrument for locating buried underground utility lines. Transmitter signals can be applied both inductively and conductively; using the broad range peak mode and the more focused null mode you can first locate and then pinpoint your target conductor.

Line location is indicated on a visual meter accompanied by an audible tone. "Signalator tone interruption" extends the average battery life from 200 to 500 hours. The 4810 Inductive Probe positions the antenna closer to the ground for greater tracing accuracy and easier depth determination while maintaining a standing position.
