Safety Instructions
-
Before you begin,
review your State and Federal rigging apparatus specifications and
apply them accordingly.
-
Always wear gloves,
hard hat and all personal protective equipment required.
-
Examine Hydrant
Setter before using. Check cables for wear, be sure the cable
guards are in place.
-
Remove port caps on
hydrant and slip paddles over ports (make sure cables aren't twisted
and paddles are installed correctly.)
-
Hand tighten port
caps so paddles pivot freely, but without danger of caps coming off.
-
Attach triangle to
OSHA approved shackle/coupler.
-
Double check
connections and stand clear for machine lifting.
-
Lift carefully - if
binding occurs, set down and adjust connections.
