The Pipehorn 500 combines
both high and low frequency transmitters to allow you to select the
correct frequency for the job. If you have a good conductor (gas
or telephone line) and are in a congested area, you can use the 9 kHz
frequency to accurately trace for long distances.
If you have a poor conductor (ductile pipe with rubber gaskets) or
cannot find a good spot to hook up conductively, you can use the the 480
kHz transmitter inductively and trace out the line.
Many users will put the 9 kHz on the gas line and a the 480 kHz on the
ductile pipe and trace out both a the same time!
The durable Dual Frequency
Pipehorn Receiver allows you to stand straight up while
tracing and its simple one hand - one control design is
both easy to learn and use.
