The 8840 Path Finder and the 8850 Pathfinder II cable and pipe locators
rival any path locators at any price. The innovative design allows the
user to easily pick up the signal with the lightweight, handheld
receiver at waist level. The superior technology and filtering developed
within the Path Finder locators, make it possible to locate in and
around power lines without any interference.
The 8840 Path Finder and the 8850 Path Finder
II are available in peak or null versions. Both models feature a variable
pitch audio tone. This gives the user a better indication of the meter
setting and location of the cable or pipes path. The unique design of the
Path Finder units permits the receiver and transmitter to be housed within a
single, high-impact, bright yellow carrying case.
The 8840 Path Finder is equipped with a
single frequency of 815Hz. This low frequency is used for optimum path
locating while using the direct connections. The 8850 Path Finder
II has dual frequencies; the low frequency 815Hz and the high frequency
82kHz. By choosing the 82kHz, the user has the ability to choose between
the direct connection, transmitter induction, or Flexicoupler induction
when purchasing the optional Flexicoupler. Depth measurements can be
accomplished by the 45 degree triangulation or the straight-lift method
up to 15 feet. |
