METER PITS OVERVIEW
Our meter pits are lightweight, but strong! Easy to ship and handle
these pits have a white interior which reflects light for easy meter
reading. An inside flange on the meter box keeps the box from sinking
below ground level and adds strength. Manufactured from high density
Polyethylene the box will not deteriorate below ground level like some
fiber pits do. The high density structure means the boxes have more
durability and resistance to stress than other plastic materials and
there is no dust to irritate skin or eyes. A locating "shelf" is molded
in so that a Thermo-pak insulating pad (optional) can be used when
initially installing a box, or for anytime in the future. The patented
Thermo-Pak has a liftout center to allow easy meter reading and creates
a chamber to hold in the geo-thermal warmth in the pit. Manufactured
from closed cell polyethylene foam so that it is highly insulating and
moisture proof
