P-A media is accepted for reporting total
Coliform values in drinking water samples . Use this media for routine
testing of samples collected from distribution systems or water
treatment plants.
Fast and easy this test
method requires the samples to be taken in a sterile container. Add the
contents of one P-A Broth Ampoule to the 100 mL of sample. Incubate the
sample for 24 to 48 hours at 35° C.
Note the reaction after
24 hours of incubation. In order to determine if E-Coli is present a UV
lamp will be required to show color change. |
