SCBA OVERVIEW
The Frontier has 3 major components: a pressure reducer, a compact
demand valve (CDV) and an end-of-service alarm. The CDV, the
industry's smallest regulator, delivers a high flow rate of over 500
liters per minute with very little breathing resistance.
Three optional face pieces are available
and provide positive-pressure air on demand to conserve air. The
Air Hood, the Conventional Face Mask and the AirSwitch Face Mask.
Air Hood
Has a 10,000 protection factor that allows users with facial hair and/or
glasses to enter an IDLH atmosphere. The CDV is used in
conjunction with the Air Hood and has been designed with size and
simplicity in mind. It has only two moving parts and the size is
so compact there is no obstruction through the face piece.
Standard Face Mask
Uses the CDV and has a simple four-point spider harness.
AirSwitch Face Mask
Integrates the regulator into the face mask which allows the user to
easily switch to ambient air in order to conserve cylinder air when in
safe environments. There is no docking, so it is always ready when
you are. |
