FLOAT OVERVIEW

Normally Open (NO) Pump Down
The control switch turns on (closes) when the float tips slightly above horizontal signaling high level.  The control switch turns off (opens) when the float drops slightly below horizontal.

Normally Closed (NC) Pump Up
The control switch turns on (closes) when the float tips slightly below horizontal signaling a low level.  It also turns off (opens) when the float tips slightly above horizontal.

Single Pole Double Throw (SPDT) High or Low Level
This switch has one common lead, one high level lead and one low level lead.  Very handy for spare floats or when both high and low level contacts are required.

NOTE: These switches are not recommended for controlling: Any load over 5 amps; Electric loads less than 100 milliamps; and/or 12 VAC non-arcing electric loads.
