Roots Synthetic Blower Lubricant
The normal life expectance of Roots synthetic blower lubricant is 6000 hours for oil temperatures at or below 180°F* versus 2000 hours for normal petroleum based oil.
Less frequent oil changes will reduce maintenance costs. *Above 180°F oil life is reduced by half for every 15°F increase in temperature.

Shell Darina SD-2 grease is recommended by Roots for all URAI blowers. Note Shell Darina is NOT compatible with lithium based greases commonly used in other applications.
