Economical System for Nitrate Measurement.  Nitrate can be monitored to control the de-nitrification process. Using Nitrate you can control the Return sludge feed to ensure that no oxygen is transported through the pumping system into the basin. Also, Nitrate levels can be monitored continuously to ensure that no problems are occurring during low flow periods in the evenings. The ISE probe is an inexpensive alternative to UV probes. The ISE probes require more maintenance than the UV probes but cost considerably less than the UV probes. Measuring Range is .5 to 450 mg/l. System has the option of either 1 or 2 point calibration. Used with the Model 182 Controller which has two 4-20 mA outputs and three alarm relays. Optional Air Cleaning system will reduce maintenance time.
