The quickest way to get rid of water in a meter pit or valve box is to use this self-priming hand pump. The barrel is 36 inches long and comes with either a 36" or 72" discharge hose to direct the flow away from where you are working. Simply place the end of the pump in the liquid and start pumping the handle. It is that easy! The pump has a built-in foot valve to keep from back siphoning. You can add an optional stone strainer to keep larger rocks and debris out of the pump prolonging the life of the unit.
This pump is built from impact resistant PVC and is non-sparking. Its lightweight design and simplicity of use make it the perfect pertner for any meter reader. The pump moves 35 oz. of liquid per stroke. For depper pits and valve boxes you can add either a 4' or 6' extension hose to the inlet side of the pump. Extension hoses include a strainer. |
